Two local stores fly the Killarney flag

THE new Vodaphone store on College Street and Mods & Minis at Deerpark Retail Park have both been named on the top 100 shortlist in Retail Excellence Ireland’s quality awards for 2017.

Other Kerry finalists are Ahern’s Pharmacy in Farranfore, Ballyseedy Home and Garden in Tralee, Corcoran’s Furniture’s Tralee store, Garvey’s SuperValu in Tralee, Horan’s Health Store in Tralee.

The Top 100 stores awards scheme, which was established in 1997 to promote best practice and encourage high standards in the Irish retail industry, is now the largest and most prestigious of its kind in Ireland.

The awards ceremony will be held in the Malton Hotel, Killarney on Saturday, November 11.

There were almost 700 entries nationwide and the shortlisted business represent a very high standard of service and customer engagement. As part of the Top 100 selection process, all store entrants were visited by a mystery shopper and they must now prepare a submission for the adjudicators
