WE have a winner.

Lucky Olivia O’Connor from Killarney has won a VIP night at an exclusive Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA) screening of a hit movie filmed entirely in Killarney – complete with complimentary four-star hotel accommodation.

The fast-paced courtroom drama Tradition – an OC Productions film – is to be screened by the Academy at The Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield, Dublin on next Monday night and teamed up with OC Productions to offer one lucky reader and a guest an opportunity to win a fabulous night in the capital for the big occasion.

A huge entry was received and Olivia’s star prize is two VIP tickets for the movie screening and a wonderful overnight stay for two, with breakfast, at the four-star Red Cow Moran Hotel – one of Dublin’s most popular establishments.

The IFTA screening will be attended by several members of the Academy who will get a first-hand experience of Killarney’s lure as a magnificent location for film production.
Several of the stars of Tradition are expected to be in attendance on the night, including Paul Ronan – the father of Oscar nominated Saoirse – broadcasters Marty Morrissey and Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh and the family of the late great entertainer Brendan Grace who played the role of a priest in the movie.
