The roar of the engines signalled their arrival and right through the weekend hundreds of bikers and their friends packed Killarney for the spectacular annual Ireland BikeFest.

Leather and denim was the uniform of choice as the colourful bikers flocked to town to enjoy a fantastic line-up of free entertainment at the festival headquarters in the Gleneagle Hotel.
This year’s programme featured some major heavy metal acts taking to the main INEC stage, the outdoor stage in the Bike Village and the Harley Bar.

The rock classics were churned out by some of the greatest tribute and cover bands on the planet and, in between the live acts, patrons were spoilt for choice with some opting for a white-knuckle ride on the ferris wheel and others choosing to go the black knuckle route by adding to their tattoos.
Ireland Bikefest is renowned as one of Europe’s premier free open motorcycle festivals and it is a firm favourite of bikers, aspiring bikers, families, visitors and locals.
Motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world made the most of the fantastic scenery, touring routes, hospitality and festival atmosphere with daily ride-outs and, as always, the spectacular parade of bikes and bikers which drew Killarney town centre to a standstill this Sunday as the public lined the streets to greet the bikers and their dream machines.
