THE worried niece of a Kerryman missing since the Rose of Tralee festival has appealed to the public to help find him.
Willie Mulvihill, who is 53 years of age, has not been seen since he was spotted near the Kielduff Roundabout in Tralee last Sunday week. It is understood he had been in University Hospital Kerry but had discharged himself.
The Garda dog unit and the Garda helicopter have now joined the extensive search and landowners in the Tralee area have been asked to check outhouses and their land for any sight of him.
From Ozanam Villas in Ballybunion, he has not been in contact with his family since then and concern for his safety is growing with each passing day.
His niece, Sarah Scanlon, has issued an appeal on Facebook in an attempt to track down her uncle.
She said he was last seen at University Hospital Kerry but there has been no trace since.
He is described a being a small-sized man, 5’4” in height, of slim build, bald and with a moustache. When he left home he was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and a brown jacket and he might have been wearing a baseball cap.
Sarah said Willie may not be as clean shaven as in the picture. He had no bank cards or mobile phone with him at the time of his disappearance.
