Wine and Art night is a social highlight

Killarney Rotary Club President Conor Griffin

A NUMBER of important charities, community organisations and sports clubs will benefit from a share of the proceeds at this year’s eagerly-awaited evening of wine and art hosted by Killarney Rotary Club.

The date finalised for what is now well established as one of the social highlights of the year in the town is Thursday, November 21 and the venue, as always, will be the Great Southern Hotel.

Beneficiaries this year will be the Stephen Lyne Foundation, Gaelscoil Faithleann, Coolick National School, Killarney Swimming Club, Irish Pilgrimage Trust, Killarney Athletic AFC, St Paul’s Basketball Club and Beaufort Youth Club.

Rotary Club President, Conor Griffin, said tickets are already in huge demand so, to avoid disappointment, those planning to attend would need to book early.

“Our man sponsors again this year are Daly’s Supervalu Killarney and, as always, we are very grateful for their support,” said Conor who invited any artists interested in exhibiting their work to email [email protected] as soon as possible.

“We are delighted to welcome back our annual artist contributors and we equally happy to welcome anybody new,” the Rotary President added.
