One of two winning tickets in Friday night’s special National Lottery EuroMillions raffle draw, which were worth €1 million each, were sold at Nolan’s Garage and Londis store in Tralee.

The National Lottery confirmed that both winners from Kerry and Dublin have made contact with the office and arrangements are currently being made for them to claim their prizes.

Mark Nolan, whose parents Niall and Vivian own the store, admitted that the €1 million ticket news came as a surprise.

“It’s always a great surprise to get a call from the National Lottery to hear that someone who bought a ticket from our store has won such a prize.

“A couple of years ago, we sold a winning ticket worth €4.3 million and there was great excitement around the shop and town so I can imagine it’ll be the same for the rest of the week,” he said.

” It’s a great Christmas present for one of our customers, I’m sure they’ll enjoy the celebrations. My only regret is that I didn’t buy a ticket myself,” he said.

The EuroMillions Raffle draw guaranteed that 100 EuroMillions players across all nine participating countries would each win one of the €1 million raffle prizes.
