Work of art to help school to buy a bus

Chief auctioneers Ronan and David are happy to arrange viewings of the work of art

A TALENTED Killarney artist has donated a fabulous painting to St Francis Special School in Beaufort to help in its campaign to buy a bus for the benefit of pupils.

Elaine Barrett presented her striking work, Dancing Angels, to the school to be auctioned and the highest bidder will become the proud owner of the colourful acrylic pouring of art.

A bid of in excess of €530 has already been received for the painting which measures 50cm x 70cm and it is obvious that art lovers are anxious to get their hands on the work of Elaine who has been working with watercolours, oils and acrylics for over 20 years.

“This painting would make a beautiful addition to any home or business or it would be ideal as a Christmas present,” she school said.

Bids will be accepted until December 1 and they can be submitted to the school via Facebook messenger or by contacting the school on 064-6644452.

Viewings can be organised, if desired, by chief auctioneers Ronan and David.
