Young people in Kerry sing out for Christmas

TALENTED young people from Kerry have combined their vocal talents to celebrate Christmas in virtual unison and harmony.

Overcoming the challenges of Covid restrictions, they have created a virtual youth choir to record a fabulous version of Immanuel which was composed by Michael Card, an American Christian singer-songwriter.

The young people, aged between 15 and 30, come from school choirs, folk groups and parish choirs across the diocese.

The initiative has presented an opportunity for the young people involved to showcase their talents and take part and celebrate Christmas in a very different way than normal.

The lyrics of the hymn they have chosen, Immanuel, touch on the realities, hardships and difficulties people face in their everyday lives, offering great hope and joy. Your only 24/7 local news service provider. Call 087-2229761
